FAQs

What is a Tea Ceremony?

The point of a tea ceremony is to simply be. By sitting with tea in this way, we create a healing, meditative space for you to go inward. This provides an opportunity to connect with the wise + true whispers of your heart.

What if I’ve never been to a Tea Ceremony?

I’d love to host you for your first sit, dear one. The majority of people I serve are sitting for their first-time, so please do not hesitate to join us if you’ve never been before. You will likely be surrounded by others who are new as well. You belong.

What do I need to do to prepare for a sit?

There is nothing you need to learn or know before sitting with tea. I will provide guidance at the beginning of the sit, as we’re circled together, before we drop into our individual experiences. Come just as you are, with an openness to receiving.

What do I need to bring?

Bring your beautiful self and an intention to fully show up for the experience. I will provide all of the components needed for the sit. You may wish to wear comfortable clothes, as we will be seated on cushions on the floor. If you are unable to sit on the floor, please let me know and we’ll make sure to have a comfortable place for you to land off of the ground.

Is there caffeine in the tea?

Yes, all tea has natural caffeine, but unlike the concentrated tea bags you’re used to seeing, we will be drinking a wild, organic tea from Yunnan. The equivalent of this type of natural caffeine would be like eating a piece of chocolate.
